How to minimize negative effects of alcohol on body building?

Alright, I’ll start off by saying I know that alcohol slows your metabolism and slows the muscle recovery process of a workout. But I’m a college student and the chances of me not drinking ever is slim to none, although I have cut back. Is there anything specific I can do to help minimize this?

What if i did fat burning excercizes while drinking? would that bring my metabolism back up at all?

Just eat food and stay hydrated afterwards with water. But don’t worry about a little alcohol. Moderate consumption of alcohol has in recent studies been shown to help lengthen life. Light drinkers actually live on average a little longer than teetotalers (and probably have a lot more fun, too).
